Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Valley Foods Med (“Valley Foods”, “we”) collects through this giveaway page, why we collect it and what choices you have. It applies only to this giveaway.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, Instagram username and, if the form asks for it, your phone number.
- Your choices: your agreement to the Official Rules, your confirmation that you follow us on Instagram, and whether you opted in to marketing.
- Technical information for fraud prevention: the time of your entry, a one-way coded version of your IP address (we do not store the address itself), a random device identifier stored in a cookie, your browser type, and the link that brought you to the page (for example, an Instagram story).
- Anonymous counts: how many people visited the page and how many clicked our Instagram and Google review links. These counts are not linked to your entry.
Why we collect it
- To run the giveaway: check eligibility, prevent duplicate, automated and fraudulent entries, randomly select winners, and contact winners to deliver prizes.
- To email you a confirmation of your entry.
- To send you offers and updates from Valley Foods — only if you checked the marketing box. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message or by emailing us. Entering the giveaway alone never signs you up for marketing.
- To understand how well the giveaway performed, using totals only.
Google reviews
If you follow our link to Google to leave a review, that review is posted on Google under Google’s own terms and privacy policy. We do not collect or store your review as part of your entry, and it has no effect on your chances of winning.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us run this page (for example, web hosting, email delivery and automated bot protection), who may use it only to provide their service to us; and
- Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect against fraud.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to recognize your device, so we can count visits and spot repeated entries. If you are an administrator, a second cookie keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If our bot protection is enabled, Cloudflare may process technical signals from your browser to tell people and bots apart.
How long we keep it
We delete entry information within 90 days after the giveaway ends, except that we keep: winners’ records for as long as needed to deliver prizes and meet legal obligations; and the name and contact details of people who opted in to marketing, until they unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop sending you marketing, by emailing office@valleyfoodsmed.com. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we will not treat you differently for using them. Deleting your entry before the draw removes it from the giveaway.
Security
Entry data is stored on a secured server, access is limited to the giveaway administrator, and connections to this site are encrypted.
Children
This giveaway is only for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
